Save the Date! It Shoulda Been You Will Record a Cast Album; Release Date Set

A cast album of a Broadway musical—it makes the perfect wedding gift! It Shoulda Been You will release a recording from Ghostlight Records, available digitally on August 14 and in stores on September 18. The musical, directed by David Hyde Pierce, stars Lisa Howard, Tyne Daly, Harriet Harris, Sierra Boggess and David Burtka. The production opened officially at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre on April 14.

Featuring music by Barbra Anselmi and a book and lyrics by Brian Hargrove, It Shoulda Been You follows a Jewish bride as she readies to marry her Catholic boyfriend. When the bride’s ex-boyfriend shows up, the perfect wedding starts to unravel, leaving the sister of the bride to turn a tangled mess into happily ever after.

In addition to Howard, Daly, Harris, Boggess and Burtka, the cast includes Edward Hibbert, Montego Glover, Chip Zien, Anne L. Nathan, Josh Grisetti, Michael X. Martin, Nick Spangler and Adam Heller.
